new members. Have 31ts on order to be built the week of 9/11. Kind of bittersweet for me because I am a 30 year carer firefighter. Moving up to 5er from tt. We live in southern illinois and have several campgrounds within less than 1hour driving time. I plan on retiring next year and dw works for the school and is off all summer. Hope to see you at the campground , happy camping

welcome to the forum. Lots of nice people on here and lots of good info. I just went from a TT to a 5th wheel and in 9 more days we are heading out to Florida and areas unknown for about 6 weeks. Really looking forward to this trip. This is a great group of people and if you have any questions, someone will be able to give you an answer or tell you where you might find the answer.

Welcome to the Wildcat family jimdi73. clapper

You've chosen a very popular model and there's been quite a bit of chatter over it on this website the past few weeks.

Brew a pot of coffee and go through the archives. You'll find ALL KINDS of ways to "personalize" your new Cat.

Oh yeah, there's some great tips on maintenance and such as well.

welcome to the forum, Jimdi57. We have family in Southern Illinois - near Marion. We've camped often at Fyrne Cliff. and a few times at Wayne Fitzgerald. Years ago, we camped on Scruffy's Aunt & Uncle's farm near there.

We live in Anna, Illinois which is about 25 mi south of Carbondale, Il. & 30 mi south of Marion , Il. Scruffy and Tater- we have camped at Ferne Cliff also. Wayne Fitzgerald is nice along with neighboring Rend Lake.
There are several nice camp grounds in Southern Illinois.
Hope you come back when you can. Everyone else welcome to come too.

Rich 5117- I will be retiring in July (15th) also after 31 yrs service. I have been chief for the past 21 yrs.
Happy retirement to you.
