Sherando Lake

Post by Frank L on 9/4/2009, 9:27 am

We just spent a week at Sherando Lake in the George Washington National Forest. What a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy. The park is spotless, the hosts are very helpful and the scenery beautiful. If you want to visit the park, I encourage the use of exit 96 off of I-64. I used exit 99 on our first day and descended a rather long and curving hill to the campground off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Not the suggested route! If you are looking for the park on a map, look for the town of Lynhurst, VA. Happy Trails!

Frank L,,, you just gave me a idea for another topic section on the forum.

Highway warnings, and routes to " NOT" take.
