KOA Manila, Utah

Post by gkeager on 8/19/2009, 1:22 am

Stayed here for a couple of days before we head for the hills again. Nice park, very clean and only one around for miles. Owner very sarcastic and unfriendly. Seemed very defensive with every query. Ruined what might have been a pleasant stop. My opinion only but still could have been nicer.

An unfriendly owner would be enough to spoil it for me too.

Gerry,

Sorry to hear about your experience. In our QC program at AT&T (from another lifetime) we had a slogan. "When one of us wins, we all win. When one of us loses, we all lose." Reading about your experience with the Flaming Gorge/Manila KOA brought that to mind. When a KOA customer has a bad experience at a franchise CG, we all lose.

I think that the best thing you can do is to write to KOA corporate and let them know about your experience. Believe me, they do listen. You'll see many independent CG's with that distinctive "A" frame office structure that aren't KOA's any more. Quite a few of them that got that way didn't do it voluntarily. They lost their franchise. KOA corporate can be pretty tough when it comes to the good name of the brand.

JMHO & Best of luck next time.
