Spare Tire Relocation
I am wanting to relocate our spare to the underbelly of the trailer. I see a few of you have done it and I just wanted to know how you did it. Please be as specific as possible and include pictures.
Thanks

Re: Spare Tire Relocation

Rhexegent here are the pictures of my spare tire mechinism, i purchased from an RV dealer for around $35. I connected it to angle iron that runs across the back of the front box. (2 bolts) The mechinism is from an 07 forest river day dreamer, notice the eye hook that i added to keep rod to the mechinism inplace, also notice the 2 wooden blocks that allows the rod to reach the the mechinism.

Re: Spare Tire Relocation
I put mine between the landing gear using the same angle iron and 1/2" threaded rod. One of these days I will install a winch; for now I just muscled it into place.

Re: Spare Tire Relocation
I installed one just like jetskier did and got it same one from Lippert. Works great and spare will not drag if you get into a low spot like the ones that are mounted on the rear.

Re: Spare Tire Relocation
I keep one in the back pack (original location) and another in the front storage compartment for now.
