Tires
Hi,
Had a GREAT week-end at the mini-Woodstock - Three Forks, MT - Rockin the Rivers - Peter Frampton, The Outlaws - awesome.
3 days of camping and 3 days of music starting at noon and going until 2 AM. ROCK ON.
On the way "home" to West Yellowstone, we stopped in Ennis, MT and a gentleman pointed out that one of our tires on the WC was low. After heading to an air pump and filling and hearing the air leaking right out, we headed for the local tire store. The tire was not repairable as it had a piece of steel in the sidewall. After putting our spare on and a used tire for the spare I was looking at the line up of the 2 axels and asked the service guy if he thought they looked uneven. When he crawled under the camper he said - you guys aren't going anywhere as a second tire had a huge bulge in the sidewall - ready to blow. So, ended up buying 4 new tires. We bought our 09 in Feb and have maybe 6,000 miles on the factory tires - unbelievable.
I can say thankfully, we didn't discover this on the highway during a 600 mile day. We were not inconvenienced at all - what a way to defuse a potentially bad situation.
