Re: What are the best modifications you have done?
Even though I've made a bunch of changes to mine as well, I'd say the top three in order are:
For creature comfort:
RS2000 Inverter/Charger
4 - T145 Batteries
Rite Temp 8035C Digital Thermostat
For towing comfort:
Demco Pin Box
TrailAir Equalizers
Firestone Air Bags
Couldn't decide which was more important;
Being able to dry camp for the weekend in comfort - OR - not having the road beat me to death on the way to our destinations.
Therefore, I was compelled to post my top 2 top 3s.

Re: What are the best modifications you have done?
My best three improved the "livability" for full-timing and winter camping
1. Installing the wall mounted Craftsman 5gal. wet/dry vac in the basement for in-house vacuum system
2. Installing the seperate 120V/20A circuit for the electric radiator
3. Installing scads of insulation for winter camping

Re: What are the best modifications you have done?
My top 3:
:) 1) Garnet SeeLevel digital gauges for fresh water, black and grey water and battery monitoring
2) 2 gallon accumulator tank because we don't have to listen to a pump run in the middle of the night
3) Tie between new stablizers and EZ-Flez suspension- just too close to call!!!
Of course not making the list but should be considered would be the wood flooring and the Oxygenics shower head...

Shooter,
The picture shows an on/off switch on the receiver. Is this is a kill switch for the landing gear, or is it just an on/off switch for the receiver itself?

I'm going to seriously consider those fenders. Did you fabricate the entire thing or buy the fenders from a trailer shop? Also thinking about accumulator tank, JT's, etc. Ahhhhhh!

This switch is an on/off switch just for the receiver. I always keep it off unless I am setting up or breaking camp.

The mounting brackets I fabricated (details on my mod site on webshots). The fenders itself I bought at Northern but can't remember the actual length, but here is an example: http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200330835_200330835
I actually never removed the wheels and drilled and tapped the frame in place, but I guess you could weld them as well.

Re: What are the best modifications you have done?
Best modifications? We're still working on them.
Tater's favorite so far is the entertainment center. Creating all that extra storage was great. It's not finished yet, though - we decided the storage part (behind the TV) needs to have a shelf for the printer.
Scruffy's favorite is the sewer hose storage pipe that he put up front near the drains. We'll have to take a picture of it. The idea came from the other Wildcat site - we've gotten some good ideas from over there, and are already getting new ideas from this great new forum.
Anyway, Tater has some ideas on the drawing board for some storage/convenience things on the inside, and Scruffy has come up with some ideas for the outside/underside.
Finding time to do them is the problem. Someone told us that when we retired we'd have lots of time on our hands. Not true, we're busier than ever.

Re: What are the best modifications you have done?
Probably the best mod I did was installing the Garnet SeeLevel gauges. Second would be the EquaFlex's and then there's the Progressive Industries EMS (surge protector). The most recent are adding a cheater outlet (managed to find a pair at the dealer) in the basement and one under the ent center for an extra heater. Another recent mod that I'm very happy about is a pin box hitch for a bike rack that I just welded and will post pics of that later.

Not sure of the proper name but it's a box/outlet that has tabs on it as it attaches itself to the wall. You don't need a stud. They seem to be very difficult to get around here. I've tried Homecheapo, Lower's etc. with no success until I saw them at the stealer's.

DX,
Yes, its called OLD WORK electric outlet box. It has little tabs on the sides that move out when you turn the screws.
Our Home Depot has tons of them, how many you want?

Re: What are the best modifications you have done?
Here's my three:
Solar panel, 4 GC batteries, and 1750W inverter
Shocks on axles (already came with 16" wheels/tires and 6k axles)
Rear hitch receiver
Here's a fourth:
Relocating the water heater switch from end of sink to side wall of stove by the fridge to keep it out of reach of little fingers. I also added an LED to know that the WH was on.
Here's a fifth
re-hinging closet doors in bedroom to bi fold so they fold against the wall instead of in the room in the way.
Might as well grab a sixth, seventh and eighth:
Vented skylight in bunkhouse. Much cooler now.
Accumulator on water supply
Rekeying baggage doors with ace locks rather than the universal.
On the truck, last year I replaced the stock housing with the ATS housing on the turbo compressor and that was probably the best mod since the DP tunes.

The little Shurflo unit. The 2 gallon pressure tanks at Lowes or Home Depot work well too. I installed one in my inlaws trailer. It takes 45 seconds to empty and refill. It's strange at first, but you get used to the pump running well after the sink is shut off. The best part is you can run the water a long time before the pump cycles. Good for the midnight toilet flushes.

Scott,
I installed the 2 gallon tank from HDepot last year and it has been great. The extra capacity ensures enough water overnight. I also added a shut off valve on the tank so it does not get anti-freeze into it as it may not completely drain out from the inner rubber bladder that is inside the tank.

One mod I forgot to mention and is probably on of my best was the Plexiglas storm windows I added to the screen door. I really noticed this when we were camping last week in Algonquin PP when morning temps were around freezing. Adds extra R value when both doors are closed but you can keep the solid door open during the day to allow more lite in the camper. I think I have pics on my website from a previous trailer (got to update that site soon!).

Re: What are the best modifications you have done?
Mine:
1. Demco Glide-Ride.
2. Relocation of dump valve, moved forward to get it from under the slide.
3. Hunter digital thermostat.
4. Relocate sewer hose storage to near dump valve.
5. Wood grab bar, matching the exit door one...installed at steps to BR.
6. Getting axles aligned.
7. Hitch on rear of FW, to pull boat.
8. Temper foam topper on mattress.
9. White plastic drawer pull handle on screen door, to help close it, and it also helps close the big door, when it is against the side of the trailer. (It allows you to control the door better, in windy conditions.)
Truck- Hypertech fuel controller, makes a diesel accelerate like a gasser. Gained 48 HP.
