A Well Deserved Vacation
Well, the Workkamper job here at Asheville East KOA will be winding up right after Labor Day week-end. So, we're treating ourselves to a well deserved vacation.
We leave on September 9th for the canyonlands of UTAH. We're going out I-40 all the way to Las Vegas crossing over the Hoover Dam on the way. We'll head up into UT via I-15 then back through CO on I-70 to see some friends. It'll be I-70 into PA picking up I-81 north just east of Harrisburg. Then home via I-84 and I-93 into NH.
We'll be on the road for about 30 days and we'll be back in NH the first week in October.
Really looking forward to this trip as just plain old campers after a summer of being Workkampers. I'll be posting from the road as we go with PIX of the CG's we stay at.
We'll be back here at the KOA next March.

Mike,
Sounds like a fun and scenic trip! The in-laws went to Bryce Canyon and Arches a couple years back and loved it!! Bet you will too.
Looking forward to your updates and pics.

Re: A Well Deserved Vacation
Sunday was our last day of work here, and what a day it was. Started at 2:00 p.m. to work getting our annual KareKamps auction ready. Auction ran from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and yours truly was the auctioneer. At 7:00 p.m. I went on to call the weekly bingo games and after that was over worked security in the park until 2:00 a.m.
We don't normally work a long shift like that, but Labor Day week-end is a special one here and everyone chips in to make it a great one for the campers.
Spent today cleaning the awning and the outside 6' X 9' grass mat plus reorganizing the basement storage area. Tomorrow we clean the inside of the camper from stem to stern, flush the tanks really well and hook up for an early start on Wednesday morning.
First stop is the KOA on Music Valley Drive in Nashville. Oprymills here we come! YAHOO.
We'll be there for two nights before moving on to North Little Rock, AR.
We'll be doing about 350 miles a day and taking it easy. We'll post campground reviews with pix as we go.
