Bristol/Kingsport KOA in the East Tennessee Mountains

I camp in state parks about 95% of the time, so my experience in commerical campgrounds is somewhat limited. Having said that, I think this campground is one of the best I've been in. The sites are close to each other with little or no privacy outside the the camper. But we weren't really "camping" as much as "RV'ing". It was a chance for the wife and kids to hang with grandma and grandpa. I have to say, its a great way to visit in-laws! Anyway, I digress ...

All sites are full hook-ups. There is plenty to keep the kids busy, including a playground and horseback riding. The grounds are EXTREMELY well tended and the entire staff was just too friendly.

If you're just looking for a place to call home for a few days while enjoying the Smoky Mtn area, I'd high recommend looking into this place.

hey phillip, that's the owner of the KOA. he pretty much takes care of the horses, stables, and gives riding lessons to locals. a couple of times a week he provides a trail ride for any of the campers interested.
