Gulf Shores Bound!!!

Heading out to Gulf Shores in the morning for a week! Going to stay at Gulf State Park . Hope all goes well. Will try to get some trip pics to post. Wish us well!

That's one of my favorite areas to visit. We usually spend a month at Island Retreat RV Park in the spring at Gulf Shores. Have a great trip.

By the way, if anyone is in the Gulf Shores area in March look for me at the public beach that is at the intersection of Hwy 59 and Hwy 182. That beach is one of our favorites. Here's a picture of me taken in Mar '08 so that you know who to look for.

Scott how did you make your reservation at Gulf Shores State Park. Did you call or do it on line. I want to go down in two weeks. Hope I can make reservatons.

Ken, We've made our reservations at Gulf Shores by phone. They will reserve a spot, by not a specific site. When you get there you choose from the sites available at that time. Have fun, Gulf Shore's among our favorites.

Sorry about the late reply. Didn't see your question til today. I called and called and called and finally got through to make reservations. There wasn't a crowd while we were there. It was about two thirds full on the ninth when we got there and emptied up over the weekend. I guess the fourth of July crowd left. Very quite and peaceful from Sunday up til we left. You could get a spot near a bathhouse easily. By the way, they keep those bathhouses nice and cool. And very clean. Some construction going on for the new pool house and laundry house but it never bothered us in anyway.
