Another Concertone ZX 75 question
I currently have a satellite dish hooked up to input 2 on the Concertone ZX 75. Input 2 is the wall plate that came with the unit. It works fine, however the next time I turn the Concertone on, I have no sound. I have to use the "Mode" button and cycle through "Radio", "CD/DVD", "Input 1", and then back to "Input 2" before I get sound again. I have tried turning the satellite receiver off/on but this didn't help.
Does anyone else with the ZX75 have the same issue. Any thoughts/suggestions?
Thanks.

Re: Another Concertone ZX 75 question
It turns out the issue in the first post was only the beginning. After using the ZX75 during the summer, we flushed out a few more problems with the unit...
- When playing CD's, the sound "freezes" for a second or two before continuing to play and then freezing again
- When playing DVD's, large portions of the movie are skipped. It will skip numerous chapters at a time
- Batteries only last in the remote for approx. 2 day... need to keep removing and inserting the battery to conserve it
I contacted the Forest River warranty department to see if I could deal with them directly rather than through my dealer as the dealer is 3+ hours away. I sent the radio back to Forest River and they tested it and found it to be defective. The shipped me another one which arrived yesterday. I'll install it this weekend and test it out.
The new radio is a ZX75, however it is black... the one I sent back was silver. Doesn't make a difference to me though, I'm just hoping it functions correctly!!

Good to hear that Forest River is working directly with you to get this resolved. Hear of so many that refer you to the component manufacturer for warranty work.

Re: Another Concertone ZX 75 question
jeb,
to the forum!!.
The new concertone that Forest River sent me fixed all my other problems... however, I didn't set the satellite up to see if I still had the "no sound" issue. With snow coming down this morning, it's going to have to wait until next spring. There must be others who are using a satellite with this radio... hopefully, they will chime in and let you know whether their setup is working/not working.
If others don't have to cycle through the modes to get sound, then I'd guess it is probably a radio defect.
