Well, this one is on my list of CGs not to be returned to. Stayed there this past weekend for a meeting with our RV club and it's a little expensive for what you get (especially if you have children, because they base their rate on 2 people per site only).
1st problem: Checked in, lady in store said to park anywhere over there (that's where some of the club members were already set-up). I pulled into the site (grass) to find out that it was about 8" off level left to right.
Well I thought, lets go 2 more sites up, looked pretty level....
2nd problem: Checked initial voltage/polarity on the power post of that site and it seemed OK at first, hooked everything up after leveling the camper and unhitching, turned on the A/C (it was 95 degrees), checked the Autoformer and saw that it was in boost mode
. Went to another power post and checked the 30amp outlet: 102V
. See the CG owner and tell him about the problem. He tells me that I should not be parking there, that circuit has not been upgraded, yet, and I need to move the rig and he showed me a 50amp site just behind me, he said that they just upgraded the power and there shouldn't be any trouble. I asked if it is OK just to back up and he said yes.
3rd problem: I backed up and am getting ready to hook up our Cat again, owner comes and says that I was getting ready to use the wrong post and I needed to turn the trailer around, so I did.
Checked the initial voltage and polarity on the 30amp: 108V only, the 50amp: 120V, so I hook up to the 50amp using my adapter.
4th problem: I was hooked up, our friends were getting ready to hook up on the 50amp site beside us and then a big motor home pulled in and hooked up. Checked the Autoformer, boosting again.....checked the 50amp outlet on our friend's site: 108V, by that time I was getting ready to
someone or leave, but the people from the RV club of which we are the youngest members asked us to stay and since I had the Autoformer, we did. BTW, the Motor home could only run 1 of its 3 A/C units and they left the next morning.
5th problem: The water pressure was very low and the water smelled (we used bottled water to cook and drink) and the faucets were about 3-4 inches above the ground.
A couple of good things, though, the owners are friendly and the pool was pretty nice.
