Lights Replaced

I started installing my LED lights today. I got the right taillight and the 3 clearance lights on the right installed.

Do you have a west coast model with the square box type lights? The LED tail lights look simular to the east coast style lights. I think it looks great!! I'd like to do that too when mine arrive although am hoping that mine shows up with the 'flush mount' style lights. I've been speaking to the factory in Oregon and they said they may be able to give me the lights I want.

Where did you get these, model number?? --Thanks

Clearance Lights Model # 23015R or Y. If you e-mail him, you can get them for $10.95

Tail Lights Model #47-84-610

Which did you use for the license plate light?

Neither has a white license plate lite or bracket. In the morning, I'm going to mount the plate under the right light.

Is that "legal?" By that I mean since there is no direct illumination could a police office cite you?

Probably, but I'm not worried. I figure if they are digging that deep, they must be after you and will get you for something. I have had numerous trailers and have seen a lot of others that have no license light. I hope the sheriff has bigger fish to fry. (no inspection required where I live)

I'll let you know if I get cited.

Scottz - Did you put anything on the back of the side markers to seal it?

Thank you Scottz. The black window trim on yours looks a lot better than my white. I wish they had black in 2006.

Action Jack to the forum, its great to see someone so close (Elk Grove) to where I live joining the forum... Jack I put the same rear lights (stop/brake/tail lightss) on my 2010.
Here is the site information that I found: http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/parts/rv-lights/led-bargman-84-tail.htm
I bought the 54-8422 for my rig, I have not changed out the side marker or clearance lights yet...
AGAIN Its a great site!!!!

Those look great. I wonder why a 2011 model came with the old style incandescent type lights?

That's easy...they're cheaper.

Here's a funny story. When I bought my truck, Ford didn't put light bulbs in the red door reflectors (on the interior when the door is open), but they went to the expense of the wiring and the sockets. I removed the cover plates and added the bulbs. Same deal, save $2.00 in bulbs. I'm sure LED tail lights have a little premium versus the regular incandescent bulbs.
