Left Coast Disney Bound
Well tomorrow we head out on our 2 week trip. We'll be heading West to Green River the first day and will stay in the Green River KOA. On Saturday we'll drive in to Las Vegas, reservations are at the Oasis (stayed before and loved it!). We'll spend 4 night in Las Vegas catching up with family and celebrating our 30th. On the 24th we head south on I-15 to Anaheim Resort RV Park. I think Jet Skier was staying there and had hoped for a campground review. But being 1/2 mile or less from Disney probably has them pretty busy. We will stay there for 4 nights and plan on taking the G-sons, daughter and her boy friend to Disney for 2-3 days and at least one day at the beach. On the 28th we'll be heading back east bound on I-40 to Lake Havasu. Plan to visit with the in Laws for 4 nights and hitting the lake boating and skiing. On the 2nd we hit I-40 again and cruise into Albuquerque for a 1 night lay over. While there we'll visit my older sis. We'll be at the Albuq Central KOA. Then on the 3rd we head north on I-25 back to home base
. This trip has been in the planning phase since around February and I'm sure it will just fly by. Maybe we'll see you on the road. Happy 4th everyone.

Yes,, have a great time. There is so much to see in Vegas, and Disneyland is a fun place for all.

Re: Left Coast Disney Bound
We made it into Las Vegas yesterday pm. Headwinds from Richfield to Virgin River we pretty bad. 8.9 MPG (OUCH)!! then from Virgin River into Vegas were cross winds. I felt like I was pulling a tag again. Sure made it interesting. Checked into the OASIS around 3:00 and made it to my youngr sis' for a BBQ by 4. Great to see the entire Vegas family (Mom, Dad, 3 Sises and their hubbys and all their kids). Quite a packed house. So far so good. The only bad thing that has happened is the when we left Green River KOA. Everyone was loaded into the TV and we were pulling out of the site. Looked in my Side Mirror and noticed something black. I stopped pushed in the parking break, got out and went back to investigate. OH BOY!!! Wife's camera had dropped out of her Backpack. Funny how it was right in the track of the trailer (not one tire but both!!!) Maybe she was hinting that she needed a new camera. So guess what?!?!?! Went to Best Buy today and picked up her Anniversary Present today!!! Happy 30th Honey!.. If thats all that goes worng I will be a HAPYY CAMPER!! In fact, coming to my parents today for dinner I saw Diesel at $2.39 PG.. YAHOO!! I'll keep you posted on our adventures..

End of Trip
Well we made it thru the adventures and back home yesterday. Stay at Disney was great! We had 3 day hopper passes and after 2 1/2 days the DW and I were done. We stayed behind to get the trailer ready for the next leg (Lake Havasu). The kids still had some money left so off to Disney they went for one last time. SOrry we were too busy to post anything.
Sunday the 28th we headed to Lake Havasu. The temps there were unbearable. We didn't stay in the trailer for this leg. I don't think our poor 15000 BTU AC would have kept up with 115-120 temps. We went out on the lake for 2 days and spent the 3rd at some inlaws around the pool.
The 1st we loaded up and started our trek back to Colo Springs. Spent the night at the Albuquerque KOA and then on into home base on the 3rd.
Its hard to believe that we planned this trip since February and now the 2 weeks are over and back to work tomorrow. It was a Great trip with no mishaps other than the camera (still think the wife wanted more MEGA PIXELS).
Hope everyone had a happy 4th!!!

Re: Left Coast Disney Bound
Thanks for keeping us posted on your trip. 30 year anniversary is great. We just had our 37th last May.
Vacations are so much fun, but they go by to fast. The fun part is to start planning for the next one.
I am glad that the only casualty was the camera, but as you say, it might have been "premeditated murder"

Sounds like you had a good trip.... although too hot at times. I hope you will post a review about the Albuquerque KOA. We drive through there fairly often and think it would be a good place to stop for a night or two.
