RED Unread turn READ
This is a problem I seem to encounter at least once a month (it just happened again during this session)...
While going thru the forums, reading and replying, all of the posting will turn black (from red) when going back to the home page, indicating all posts have been read. The first couple of times I figured I had navigated back incorrectly, or something like that. But that doesn't seem to be the case. I can find no rhyme or reason to this occurrence.
I was wondering if upgrading to IE7 would fix this. I'm not looking forward to the upgrade (I hate IE 7), but I seem to be having more problems with some web sites these days and can only assume its a compatibility issue.

Happens to me sometimes too. I think we have gremlins... or possibly poltergiests. It's probably a flaw in the software that phpBB provides.

Re: RED Unread turn READ
When I first click on View posts since last visit all the posts that I haven't read are RED. After reading them and returning to View posts since last visit all the posts that I already read are black. This is normal, now if someone posts again, then that post will turn RED until I read it.
So, RED means unread, BLACK means already read.
Is this what you mean? Hope this helps.

Nope, ALL red unread posts will suddenly change to black without me doing anything as far as I can tell. I then have to go through looking for current posts the hard way!

Hmm......
When I open up my IE7, this site is one of my folders, so it opens up right away, if I don't read them then, they are gone and I have to go through each category to find the new posts.
It would be nice to have a button for ACTIVE TOPICS like the old site had. This was discussed in another post a few days ago, but Phillip didn't really come up with a fix for it, YET....

Mr Z,
If you don't want to upgrade to IE7, try Mozilla firefox. I have been using firefox as my internet browser for 4-5 years and have not had any viruses; its a great product and the price is right! free! Let me know if you have any questions.
