AZ - Holbrook/Petrified Forest KOA
We got to Holbrook early in the afternoon with the intention of driving through one of our favorite National Parks - Painted Desert/Petrified Forest NP. Unfortunately, when we were setting up we discovered that our living room slide didn't go all the way out at the top. After quite a bit of adjusting, Scruffy finally got it to go out enough that light didn't show through. By then, though, it was too late to go to the NP. So, after dinner, we went to the DQ and got Blizzards. Yum!
This is a very nice campground. It was clean, the owners/managers were very friendly, there were some recreational things for both adults and kids. They have a little outdoor restaurant that serves burgers, and hot dogs and a few other things. If we didn't have dinner planned, I think we would have eaten there. They also serve breakfast. The only thing I didn't care for was a view of some junky cars next to the campground. A privacy fence is needed, in my opinion.
We will definitely stay here again.

Office - I snapped this as we were driving out.

Our campsite

Comfort station for the tent campers. The tent area looked very nice. Thick grass. There was a sign letting people know this was NOT a dogwalk area.

Wide "street"

We stayed there 3 years ago, very nice CG and extremely friendly owners. The 2 couples that own the place quit their real jobs and bought the place about 5 years ago. WIFI wasnt that strong back then, but the food was great....

We were very happy with this campground. The pads were long, level and fairly roomy. It was quiet and there were quite a few trees to keep it from looking like a parking lot.
