NV - Las Vegas - Sam's Town Boulder

Post by Scruffy and Tater on 5/29/2009, 10:49 am

We stayed at Sam's Town Boulder RV Park 9 nights. We stayed in a long pull-through that was as far away from Boulder Hwy as we could get.... not that the noise from Boulder Hwy is bad - we've stayed closer to the highway and the noise didn't bother us.

Maxtor left there the same day we arrived, and we hoped we could meet up, but they had to check out by noon, and we didn't get there until after 1pm. He DID suggest a campsite though. We had reservations for a back-in, and asked at the registration office if we could get a pull-through instead. We didn't ask for a specific campsite, but we were given the one right next to the one Maxtor suggested.... which we think might have been better. The two trees he mentioned when he made the suggestion gave us afternoon shade, and that helped to keep the trailer cooler.

Sam's Town Boulder is clean and a close walk to the casino. They also have Sam's Town Nellis RV Park which is off Boulder Hwy on the other side of the casino. We prefer Boulder. They have at least 3 comfort stations with laundry facilities. They don't have much for kids to do. They might have a pool. To tell the truth, we aren't interested in that kind of stuff when there is a casino right next door. :)

Our campsite. Almost all of the sites are side-by-side (except some that are on the ends of the row). The sites are rather close together. We were glad to have the two trees for shade.

Another view of our campsite.
