Toilet (yuk)
Hi there,
When flushing the toilet, it gurgles and spouts (like the geysers here at Yellowstone). It's almost like it's not venting - does anyone have any experience/guidance?
Thanks
PS We're finally starting to see spring here at West Yellowstone - nights are still in the low 30's.

Re: Toilet (yuk)
Sounds like a clogged vent.

It gurgles and spouts out of the hole that the water/waste goes down? That hole is pretty big, and I would imagine enough air goes down with the waste to make it flow. Maybe the hole/pipe is clogged? You could try gently "snaking" the pipe with a wire, piece of old garden hose, or plumbers snake from a hardware store.

Re: Toilet (yuk)
It should vent through the roof and release any excess pressure.
Unfortunatley, RV manufacturers sometimes shove the vent stack pipe down too far into the holding tank and cause the issue you have. If the bottom of the pipe is under the fluid level in the holding tank, it cant vent properly. Is that clear as uh... "mud"?
