Water heater will not fire
When I flip the switch to on I dont even get the red light to come on. Is this a igniter board problem. I checked the resets and they were ok. It worked fine on electric.

Re: Water heater will not fire
Usually if there is already gas pressure at the water heater, the red light won't come on. The only time mine comes on is when I first turn it on after a long travel or change over the tanks. Can you tell us a little more about what is going on? Have you tried turning off the electric, emptying the water heater, refill it with cold water and turn on the gas?

Re: Water heater will not fire
When I got to the campsite, I flipped the switch and everything was ok. A while later my wife told me the water was cold so i began investigating. When I unscrewed the module from the wall and began checking the connections it fired up and did so for a few more cycles and then quit again. I checked the connection again but it would not fire, so i just ran it on electric the rest of the weekend.

Electric is good, I never run mine on gas, only electric. Of course, this doesnt solve your problem.

That almost sounds like you had the problem in your hands. It may be looseing its ground. Or a hot wire is not connected good or grounding out somehow ? ??? ....
The only thing about that is I believe thats 110 going through those wires. So Be Very very careful of what you touch.

We had the module go bad a couple of years back. The dealer replaced it with one that the cover is almost clear. When I cut the switch on, the module has a light that lights up red at first then when the water heater fires the Module lights up green while it is fireing.

Re: Water heater will not fire
Yes, that little switch is for the electric element inside the hot water heater. If you want to use the electric, you have to pull the pin out and flick the switch to on.
BUT, be sure you have water in the tank before you turn it on. If not, you will burn the element up.
I ONLY use the electric. I just remember to turn the switch off when I'm on my way home.
