PULLED PORK

Post by Richard Mondavi on 5/22/2009, 12:26 pm

Pulled Pork

INGREDIENTS:
4 to 5 pound whole Pork Butt
Liquid Smoke

DIRECTIONS:
In a crockpot pour just enough water to cover the bottom. Place the whole Pork Butt into the crockpot and inject about 2 oz. of Liquid Smoke into the Pork Butt in various areas.

If you don’t have an injector simply stab the meat with a sharp knife and twist making a hole and pour the Liquid Smoke into it. Do this in about 4 to 5 areas of the butt.

Turn the crockpot on high and cook for one hour. At the end of the hour inject another 2 ozs. of Liquid Smoke into the meat. Turn the crockpot down to low and cook for nine hours.

Remove the butt from the crockpot and pull the pork apart. While pulling the meat, scrape any remaining fat away from the meat with a fork.

Serve on a bun or alone with your favorite BBQ sauce. You won’t find better pulled pork anywhere.

Sounds great! That would be a good recipe for use when camping and not wanting to watch a smoker. Thanks for sharing!

We love pulled pork. We'll have to try this. Scruffy ordered a pulled pork sandwich at a restaurant on our trip to California and back, and it was a slice of pork. It was good, but someone needs to tell the cook how to pull it to shreds.
