Spice rack and new TV

Post by robertz675 on 5/18/2009, 1:10 am

We were tired of always looking for our spices and also to make it easier when we are cooking outside. Bob made the spice rack and I finished it. At the same time we added a lower shelf to the medicine cabinet. The TV is on a wall mount so that it can be seen all over. The mount pulls out and adjusts. We finished and mounted 1/2" plywood on the wall to give the mount something to hold on to. The electric strip hides nicely behind the TV and makes it convenient to plug in to. It is also a surge protector.

Looks very nice and professional!! How did you mount the 1/2 plywood? Also, tell us about the upside down Kleenex box. That is a good idea.

We were able to find two studs (if you look hard you can see the screw heads). Also, put in screws at a 45 degree angle into the top and bottom cabinets. The plywood on the left side also adds some strength to it and gives you a good backing for attaching things to it. The Kleenex box is in a clear plastic case that we got at Camping World. The come with double sided tape. We have them hanging up at various places around the trailer. Thank you.

Great looking spice rack. Excellent work, Karyn and Bob. Very neat idea about the tissue holders. Scruffy and I were discussing the tissue issue just a couple days ago.

We have them all around the WC. Above the couch, next to both sinks. They are within reach and really pay off if you have friends visit.
