Home Theater Systems (for home not Cat)
I have begun my research before purchasing a home theater system for my home. Last week I was at best buy and looked at a Bose Lifestyle 28 series. The system blew me away but has some limits, especially for its price. My budget is in the $1500 range. What kind of system do you have or would like and give me the pros and cons.
Thanks...
Thanks...

Re: Home Theater Systems (for home not Cat)
Mark,
I have listened to and played around with MANY systems. I am an Onkyo fan. Circuit City had a complete system on sale for $538.00.....I have had it over a year now and I'll put it up against any system out there. I have a couple of friends that have the Bose 28 system...they sound great, but no better than mine....of course, they spent 1000 bucks more. No cut to Bose or any other system, I just can't tell the difference between 500 bucks and in some cases, system costing 3000 bucks. Good luck...it can get mind boggle'n!! OH, try Crutchfield also...they have some great system packages.

I wish I could spend that kinda money,,, thats what I'd get also. I've seen them take a beating in some college dorms / apartment partys and keep on kicking.....Onkyo

Re: Home Theater Systems (for home not Cat)
Mmiller,
Thanks for the advice, that is what I'm looking for! Which Onkyo system do you have? Unfortunately for us, all of the Circuit City's in the area are closed.
I just used the Bose 28 as a "stake in the ground". I would love to get something that was a lot less expensive!

Re: Home Theater Systems (for home not Cat)
I to had an Onkyo 7.1 system that I had purchased from Circuit City. Bose was opening a new outlet store in Orlando and was offering 2 year no interest financing. It was well worth the investment. On the weekend when we are home it never shuts off.

I was looking at Crutchfield and they have a nice Onkyo 7.1 for under $900! I like that price much better. The research continues! Thanks for the input!
