Florida - WDW - Fort Wilderness
We're at Fort Wilderness. We took a tour of the campground and spotted 3 Wildcats. Nobody was home, but we'll try again.

Yep, back again.
We spotted two more Wildcats today. They might have been here yesterday, but we skipped that loop when we did our rounds.
Nobody home at any of the 5 today. Wonder where they all are? I know - out playing, having fun.
Rained at the MK today, we just ducked into Columbia Harbour House and had a snack. The rain didn't last long. We'll be going out again soon.

Tater,
Did you get the same site that you had the last time?
I saw a commercial on TV and they are now offering free dinner with your stay, wonder if its available if you stay at Fort Wilderness?
Do you have your golf cart again?

Re: Florida - WDW - Fort Wilderness
We took a little ride in the golf cart a while ago, and found one of the Wildcat owners at home. It was Brad and Suzanne Jones, and they are members here. Brad knew who I was as soon as I handed him my card - I don't know if he looked at it - it was as though he was expecting us. :) He had gone by our 'Cat a few times trying to find us at home, but we never were. Anyway we had a nice chat.
Brad doesn't post, but he reads the forum frequently. Unfortunately, he's trading off his 'Cat for a BigHorn. He'd like to stay with Wildcat, but there just wasn't anything that fit his needs. Hopefully, he'll keep reading after his purchase, and maybe post a note or two.
Brad and Suzanne, it was great meeting you. :)

Re: Florida - WDW - Fort Wilderness
Tom,
Yes, we rented a golf cart - it sure helps the old legs and feet.
We requested the same site we had last time, but someone was in it. We like the one we got, it was easy to get into. The only thing I don't like is that there is a utility box right in the way of where I would like to take a picture. Maybe tomorrow I can get a snapshot from another angle.
I don't know if the dining plan is available for the campground. I think they say for "select resorts." I didn't look into it because we don't like to eat all that food. The dining plan is good even if you have to pay for it. It just isn't for us.

Re: Florida - WDW - Fort Wilderness
We found a couple more Wildcat owners home today. One was a young man (young to us), who had a brand new Wildcat on it's maiden voyage. He reads a Wildcat forum, but I think it might not be this one. I gave him our card, and am hoping he looks us up soon.
We might drive by his site again tomorrow to see how he's doing and ask if he needs any help or advice from seasoned campers.
The other Wildcat owners were from Canada, and I believe the man said something about Quebec. They asked if I spoke French. I don't. He spoke good English, and if I spoke slowly he could understand me well enough. I think they might look us up online. If someone comes in here and asks something in French, I hope someone can respond to them. They were having a problem with (I think) their carbon monoxide detector. They went out, left their a/c on, and when they came back the carbon monoxide detector was beep, beeping. Their poor little dog was a nervous wreck, and someone had tried to get their door open, apparently to rescue the dog. They always turn off the gas before they leave their trailer, so they don't think there was a gas leak.... and it seems to be okay if the a/c is off. I couldn't help them - any of you have any experience with something like that?
