Clothes Chute Closure
First topic message reminder :
We have never used the "clothes chute" for its stated purpose. All it did was create a huge draft in cold weather, so I figured out how to close and insulate the chute and the opening for the pipes to the sink.

I apologize for the hard to read text. I will try to edit and correct.
I'm hoping this project will add considerable warmth in the camper and help hold heat in the basement also. It will definitely add useable storage space beneath the sink.

The bottom lock on my front door is the same as every trailer in the nation but the top is individually keyed to my trailer. If you lock both locks there a very very very slim chance I can get in. Would be miracle time. Not wasting the time or money since the chances are that slim.
Right you are. The deadbolts are keyed specifically to your camper. If you lock your deadbolt, your dealer will not have a master key for it. Ask me how I know when I went to pick up our new Cat and forgot the keys at home.

Thank you. It is nice to be right once in my life time. I am reminded every time I go to the dealer for work inside my trailer.

Thanks Mountainman and Portagie, that's good to know.
I assumed they were all like Samsonite luggage where one key fits all locks. In fact, I have wondered if the RV industry didn't hire Samsonite to manufacture all their locks and key sets.

Re: Clothes Chute Closure
We have a colapsable garden bag under our chute to collect the laundry. It's perfect as it's one of those ones that springs up when the tabs are undone. When fully expanded it's just taller than the basment so it presses up against the ceiling and makes a reasonable seal. I notice a lot more draught when it's not there. Also we don't have poisonous snakes in NZ.
