just bought 2009 30 loft

Post by doit2010 on 2/26/2009, 2:45 pm

well, what can anyone tell about this model,

our plan is to use this for a year or so with the kid, grandkids and then when i retire in 2010 for us to use to full time in 6 or so month a year. the wife and i like our seperate rooms when I snor.

any thought on that and the use of this for 6 month a year and then back to weekend in the summer??

I thought this was a new model in 2009, but i saw some post dating back to march of 2008 on this, does any one know?

What kind of trouble might i expect with Forest River products and service. I bought it in Seattle from Poulsbo RV

thanks
Evan

welcome ,,,

I'm not sure who all has that model on here but there are a couple I think.

FR is like cars and the way they put the year on them.
They start selling new year models early in the year.
So a 2009 would have came out in early 08'.

Look around on the forum and you should find some stuff about that model.

i'm sure a few owners will post in the morning...

welcome Glad to have you as a forum member. I don't know your model, but we use our model for 2-3 month activities and then also make weekend, or short trips during the year. These may be just the two of us, or we may have grandchildren with us. The units are pretty versitle that way. I am sure you will enjoy.

Welcome to the Forum and congrats on your Cat.
We didn't have any major issues with our Cat - I was able to tackle all we encountered.

FR does offer an extended 1 year warranty for about $150.00, but the dealers don't usually tell you about it, they just want you to buy the 7 year warranty they sell for $1900.00.

You should check into getting this if its not too late.

Congratulations of your new CAT, hope you enjoy it as much as the rest of us are enjoying ours.

Oh, and WELCOME!!!!

Hi Evan, welcome
The wife and I bought the '09 30 loft last year and absolutely LOVE it!! Nothing major so far. Need to figure out the surround sound / DVD / cable TV (inside and outside) configuration so I can enjoy all the options. Can play a DVD for the kids but the surround sound doesn't work in DVD "mode". Cable from the CG is VERY snowy when plugged in from the outside, small leak around the shower faucet, and when I pulled it home (Virginia) from Indiana the clock above the slide out fell off and broke. Thats it!!
My boys love their own room (4 and 2) and there is plenty of space for toys and whatever.

the only things I have done so far are:
raised the suspension (shackels) up to the top hole. I would scrape going in and out of the driveway, and raising it didn't help....
Reloacated the basement lights so my "stuff" doesn't hit them when I load / unload.
Feel free to ask any questions! I am in the process of relocating the family from Virginia to Colorado so I won't be able to get you measurements / pics / etc until May when I get home.

Welcome to the family!! Laughing
