Welcome to the board, What part of oregon are you from ?

I've got a friend that lives in atlanta and she's Driving to Oregon this weekend. Taking a long site seeing trip on the way.... She's moving to portland.
I could imagine theres some great places to camp just about anywhere in oregon.
