Cipa mirror covers

Post by farmerforever on 4/10/2008, 5:01 am

Everyone tired of my endless questions yet? :)

When I bought my truck I didn't have the 5'er. Hadn't even really thought about getting it until I made an impulse buy on it...(A good impulse buy though!).

Needless to say...I don't have the towing mirrors! Well Chevy wants $750 for parts and labor to put them on. Don't think I will be paying for all of that anytime soon! A friend of mine said he had these Cipa towing mirror extendors that just go over your regular mirror and have an extention on them.

Has anyone used these before? Seems a heckuva lot cheaper if they work! They are like $60 for the pair...once they have them made at the end of April for my 2007 new body style truck that is!

I had them on my old truck and strated out with them on my current truck. They work fine, but I opted to change them out with my current CIPA's (see signature) because they have more surface and I didn't have to put the other ones on, take them off.... (lazy + I have started some trips and forgot to put them on :drunken: )

farmer I put these mirrors on in 1.5 hours and I have a GMC same as Chev. Schefenacker Telescopic Trailor mirror. Got them at www.truckaddons.com and cost depends on the type of mirror you need. Cheaper than getting from dealer.
