Vizio TVs

Post by Admin on 2/5/2009, 5:23 pm

I came across a Vizio 22" LCD, 1080p smallest one I've seen with that ...

Target was the only one I"ve found that had that size.

Has anybody bought one of these or a Vizio,,, I've seen good reviews from their TV's...
Especially since its " USA" made... impressive.

I see alot of Vizio's in Resturants (Hooters) and they run all day and night. That says alot for them right now. At the Texarkana location, they have probably 20 or so and after 2 years only 1 of them has a bad picture which could probably be adjusted.

I've got a 27 inch LCD - HD in the 5th wheel and very happy with it. No issues and it travels well.

I came across a 19" Vizio 720p, $197 at Walmart...

The Vizio 22" jumps up to $327 and the 26" is $367.
So for 200 bucks less ,,,, I'll go for the 19", It will fit my port hole window on the 32Qbbs,,,, Flip it around and watch tv outside. I thought that was the coolest feature of the 32Q's,,,

_______

Update : A fool and his money are soon departed,,,, Got to the store and really liked how the 22" was a widescreen version,,,,,, So I ponied up a little more ,,,,

Since you were stepping on out there, you might as well spent the extra $40 and got the 26"!! Just kidding.

I researched TV's heavy for a year and finally went with a Samsung for home use. The Vizios are NOT made in the USA. They are a US owned company. The outsource all parts from overseas from whoever they can get them from. They have great initial bang for the buck, but due to the outsourced non-dedicated manufacturing facilities they have very little parts inventory for repair. If it they have problems you're basically looking for a new TV.
Not knocking them, just wanted you to know.
Insignia(Best Buy's brand) is made with Toshiba parts and would also be a good lower price point set.
1080P is not needed on sets this small either. You will never be able to tell until you get up to around 40" or bigger.

We bought the 26in model for our camper. Fits perfect in the port hole to watch outside. Good tv for the money.
