Hi all

Post by BillMFl on 2/5/2009, 2:16 pm

Shopping for a Wildcat 24RL or 25RL. We currently have a Montana 34RL and want to downsize. Wife likes the 25RL better but it doesn't have hardly any Wardrobe hanging space. We have an F350 deisel and started out with a 30' Terry in 2002. Been to over 40 states and most of the bigger national parks. Live in Florida but enjoy traveling (both retired). Saw the Wildcats at the recent Super Show at the Fla State Fairgrounds. Liked what we saw. Any tips on how you increased hanging space. Gotta please the wife!

Hi Bill,
Welcome to the forum.

Can't help you with your decision between the 24rl and the 25rl. We have the 29rlbs and love it. If one of you is tall, you might prefer the 24rl, because the queen size bed is the standard (60x80) queen size. The floorplan for the 25rl shows a 60x74 short queen size mattress.

Hi Bill
welcome aboard :!:
We have a 2008 East Coast 24RL and really enjoy it. We have ample wardrobe space. From what I can see the 2009 model has less Wardrobe space -- only wardrobe by the bed, where we have a closet at the entry door and another under the entertainment center (which is in the slide out), and 2 closets by the bed. I have removed the bottom flooring from the closets to open up more length which was a big help. You can see what I did by going to Gallery and then users personal albums and go to retired2. Good luck with the Wildcat and keep us informed as to what you decide.

Welcome - glad to have you on board. You'd be probably happy with the choice of a WILDCAT, I know I was.

Welcome Bill, Go for the Cat for sure...

Shopping for a Wildcat 24RL or 25RL

Check out RVwholesalers ,,, http://www.rvwholesalers.com/design/Wildcat_5th/Wildcat_5th.php?floorplan=25RL

Ask for " LEVI ".... Their price will make you drive to Ohio ...
Sometimes a local dealer will meet their price, or at least come close to it. Makes for some good bargaining power....

Welcome Bill. We purchased our 27RLSE at RV Outlet in VA., back in November. Just spent our second night in it and love it. Good luck on your quest.

I think the only solution for the lack of closet space is to camp only at "clothing optional" parks.
