A few Mods...more to come
I added 12 volt plugs on both sides of the bed. Comes in handy for things like mattress warmer, CPAP, etc.
url=http://www.servimg.com/image_preview.php?i=65&u=12289969]
[/url]
Ordered an extra handle from FR to match the one next to outside door so we could grab onto something going up the stairs to the bedroom level. Sure makes a huge difference. And was extremely easy to install!

Two images of the TV slide shelf I installed last year. Notice the Rite Temp digital thermostat? Makes a HUGE difference in temp regulation! Also...in the second pic, you can see the vent I added beside the Concertone to prevent overheating. It did the trick!

We added motion lights throughout the Cat so we wouldn't bump into things in the middle of the night. Worth every penny.

These mods are just the tip of the iceberg. Have many more to share. Will post more pictures as the weather cooperates.

Re: A few Mods...more to come
John,
This is the TV slide I installed:
http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=18093&filter=tv
It took just a couple of minutes to install with screws (provided). Platform and slide mechanism is already assembled, no guess work. It's very sturdy (all metal) and fits perfectly in the Cat's TV space.
I added a knob on mine to make it easier to pull out.

Great mods. I didn't realize there were 12v mattress warmers. We have a 110, plugged into outlets that aren't real convenient. We have cords dangling.

TC,
I couldn't tell in the pics, are those boxes vented? If so, did you just plumb the vent hoses to the campers factory vent?

Re: A few Mods...more to come
My boxes are not vented, but you can cut out for the existing vent already on your CAT.
Even though I have flooded batteries, I'm not concerned about gassing, therefore, I'm not concerned about venting. I only equalize once annually, and I have the cargo door and box lids off when doing so. On top of that, I have Thermoil in each cell, which minimizes the gassing process.

TC,
Great mods...thanks for sharing. I noticed that you have a Demco Pin Box. Do you recommend it? I am looking at getting one for my 2009 WC. Only thing I don't like about 5'r is the chucking. You know the formula, Chucking = Wife Grip'n!
Thanks,
Mark

Mmiller,
After I'd changed ours out to a Demco the wife agreed that we should
have done it at least the year before. The first year we put
about 6000 miles on it. The second year we put about 15400 on
it. Installed the Demco and then put about 11900 miles on
it. We're retiring the poor ol thing. Only about 400 miles
a year from now on, unless we decide to run over to Dawson City for a
few days.

Re: A few Mods...more to come
A couple more mods:
Two views of a corner organizer we installed with HD velcro. It helps us keep clutter off the counter. The door to the trash bin was turned so the grab hole was facing the sink. I took a key hole saw and trimmed the plastic edging off the back in two spots to install hinges. It is held open by a piece of scrap shelving bar. It's nice to be able to keep the lid open while we're cooking and/or preparing food items so we can throw the scraps and trash in without opening and closing the lid multiple times. It's especially nice when you've got "stuff"on your hands.

Earl,
We bought it through one of those mail order catalogs like Walter Drake, etc. Wasn't expensive at all, but a little assembly was required.

Re: A few Mods...more to come
O.K., I had a chance to take more pictures over the weekend:
This is a 12 Volt AM/FM/CD Stereo we had installed over the bed. We've always enjoyed falling to sleep by soft music.

We added Maxx Air vent fans in both the bedroom and the galley so we could create a pull-through effect.

This is the cover the DW made for the door quilt.

We also added some extra shelving. FR does a nice job of making their RVs "showy", but not very practical for storage.

We took the Lazy Susan out to make room for electrical appliances.

We added a cork board at the end of our galley cabinet so we could post reminders, lists, etc.

And of course, an antenna up reminder...just in case.

Here's my favorite mod so far; putting gliding drawers in our pantry.

We've put puck lights throughout the cabin so we could conserve on batteries when we're dry camping.

Here's one showing not only the puck lights under the galley cabinets, but also a 110 night light that points down at the sink. Notice the cell phone holder just in front of the night light.

I also added another motion light in the galley.

We added a screen door latch because of the dogs. I could just see them jumping up on the screen and having it pop open with just that flimsy plastic handle.

We added wireless thermometers for both the fridge and freezer. I like this mod alot!!

We've made some changes to the garbage bay to hold grill accessories.

The DW loves Tinkerbelle, so I ordered a custom spare cover just for her.

I made a waste tote holder for our extended trips.

I extended the fresh water drain out and added a spigot. It's much easier to get to now, and the spigot comes in handy when we need outside water.
