Making your own leveling air bags
Anyone thought about doing this to level your camper out? Here is a few links to RV.NET where some folks have made their own, you'll also see a shopping list if you want to try it.

Not so sure, seems like a lot of trouble to go through. I lie my Lynx levellers so far.

Re: Making your own leveling air bags
It does look like a good bit of work, and I would think it could cause more bounce, but they say not.
I think I will stick with my 1x and 2x pieces of board for now.

I've seen those and thought it was more than I wanted to do, I'll just stick with my leveling boards. Besides, knowing my luck, the bag would blow out in the middle of the night and I'd go rolling out of the bed.

Re: Making your own leveling air bags
I have read the two post above and it seems like they work on larger 5ers. I would like to build a couple and see if they are as good as the posts talk about. Most of the time I only had to put wood under one side to left it about 2 inchs. Finding the materials local would be the hard part in my area.

I think we need to give them credit for trying something that we all were at one time trying to find an item that would make leveling are campers faster and easier. I would also like them but the extra work and possible more bounce not worth it to me. Not to make any one upset just my thoughts.

I've thought about it but I would just buy one instead of making my own.

Re: Making your own leveling air bags
Tom,
Thanks for the articles. I see the main advantage of tweaking the bags once the 5er is parked to get a more balanced rig. I know I've had times where the rig was level side-to-side while hooked to the truck, but after unhooking and leveling front-to-back, the side-to-side was off. This doesn't happen all the time, but it has happened a couple of times.
