Inside-out Caramel Apples

Post by Scruffy and Tater on 12/25/2008, 3:35 am

Inside-out Caramel Apples
Serves 2
2 baking apples - cored
1 Snickers candy bar - cut in half lengthwise
2 teaspoons brown sugar - lightly packed

Put a teaspoon of brown sugar into each cored apple, then stuff as much as possible of a stick of the Snickers bar into each apple. (A little part of the candy bar probably won't fit, enjoy! :) )

Place stuffed apples in a glass baking dish and bake at 350 F for approximately 30 to 40 minutes.

It makes a great mid-afternoon snack. We like them warm, while the candy bar is all gooey. Don't know how they would be after they've cooled.
