peeling decals

Post by thebigpunn on Tue Jun 17, 2008 6:18 pm

my decals are peeling/ curling on the edges like many others.
i contact FR today, i am waiting for a response. i feel that since we do basically advertise free for them that they may consider replacing or fixing them for owners. i am not interested in spending my time razor blading or apoxying them as i feel its is more their problem than mine, cause if they dont i may consider peeling them all off the rest of the way myself!

so any bets on if they'll fix em or not? Rolling Eyes

Good luck, Let us know how it goes. I'd be very interested to see even though I don't think they will do anything. If you can price them just to see how much they are.

My father in law has a Coachmen motorhome- his decals are peeling
he called coachmen about it - They asked if he had waxed the rv
and if he did , did he wax the decals. He told them yes- they said
the wax destroys the decals!

rod batts emailed me today about the peeling decals. he said he will send me all knew decals at FR cost, however i would have to pay to have them installed or install them myself! i figure i can deal with that! he met me half way on a camper thats out of warranty. when i originally sent him the pictures of the ones that were peeling i explained that the decals meant more to FR than they do for me as fas as free advertisement for FR. so i explained, i would peel em all the rest of the way and have none, even though the kids really like the decals. he was receptive and worked with me. i will have a decal business about 7 miles from me install them professionally.

Very cool... I noticed on my '04 some are beginning to peel. I know it isn't because of wax, I've only used the RV wash-n-wax stuff.

Are you going to install yourself or have it done?

That's good news. Ours are not peeling, yet, but one sticker near the upstairs bedroom of the passenger side seems like is shrinking due to being exposed to the sun most of the day.

If it's not to much to ask what was the FR cost for the stickers and did they have your model stickers not the new cat version?

Good question grover, didn't think about FR replacing the decals w/ the new ones, not the ones that came w/ my Cat...

Congratulations! We spent last weekend peeling the Cat off and we are working on the front cap stickers. I called the local dealer for replacement prices and haven't heard anything in about a week.
