Lubing the slider?????????
What is everyone using for lubing the slider gears??? I see that the manual says no to any type of grease do to the grease collecting dirt. I was thinking about spraying the sprocket and gear guide rail with clear silicone spray, but I wanted to ask to see what others are using.

I've used WD-40 when mine was really making noises. But then switched to CRC spray on it now.

Re: Lubing the slider?????????
CRC is a brand name, industrial strength. the company I work for buys it by the cases. But I usually use liquid wrench brand name lubes, the silicone spray is good.
PB Blaster is another big brand of penetrating oil.

Re: Lubing the slider?????????
I agree with Frank, I do the same, the dealer here in Hanover carries Camco both in lube and seal conditioner/lube.

Re: Lubing the slider?????????
My slides are hydraulic, and don't have the same type of gear pack. My manual from Lippert says to spray the slide out arms with a silicone type lubricant if it is squeaking or if it is going to be extended for a long period of time, but not use any grease so it does not pick up dirt or road grime. The Camco lube can specifically says it will not attract dirt. It also says to lube the gear shaft of the control arm that extends over to the slide out arm without the hydraulic cylinder with a light weight oil (not the gear) and again to wipe it off so as not to attract dirt.
