New Wildcat now a few questions.
First off I want to thank you all in advance. I love places like this where you can share the wealth of knowledge. First question is how do you all feel about leaving the lcd TV on its mount while pulling down the road? The dealer recommended I take it off, but it looks like it would do just fine left as is. The only problem I could think of would be it coming off of its mount or the mount not secure enough and pulling out of the wall. Second Question What is everyone opinion on the Trail Air Equaflex suspension? It seems like a good idea but I have noticed some cracks in the rubber down by the springs. It looks like a part that would ware quickly. Thanks again for your responses and if you have any other tips for a new wildcat owner I would love to hear them.

Hello cummin@you and
to the forum.
Please add your model and tv to your signature so we all can see what model you have.
I don't have a LCD tv mounted in my unit, but my only concern would be how well it is mounted to the wall. If its in studs, you'd probably be OK. But I'm sure others will chime in.
I just had the equa-flex installed a few months ago, and it really makes a difference.
Where is this rubber you are thinking would crack?
And remember, we love pictures.....

Re: New Wildcat now a few questions.
Oldelmer I will get some pics but the rubber I am talking about is where the springs come together between the two axles. It looks to me like it is cracking I will have to take a closer look and try to get some pics on here for everyone else to see. I wont be able to get pics until the weekend.

We have no choice - we HAVE to take our tv down or the slide would destroy it - and it would destroy the slide. It's so lightweight, that it's easy to carry upstairs where it rides in sublime comfort on the bed.

We leave ours on wall & have had no issues. I check every trip to make sure nothing is jaring loose. Congrats on your new cat.

Is your tv mounted to the fall with a rigid mount or is it a swivel arm with locking arms? I am looking at a way to permanently mount my LCD on the wall. My dealer thinks it can be done but they won't do it. Have talked to Rod at FR about internal support in my wall and have gotten some help on locating that, but am interested in what kind of wall mount you are using. Road experience is worth a lot.

Re: New Wildcat now a few questions.
My unit has the rigid wall mount. My mount came factory installed and while messing with the Concertone issues I found that 3 out of the 4 screws were in the stud and 1 was loose going just through the wall board. Luckily I was able to get my hand behind the wall at the missing screw through the TV connection recepticale and I held a block of wood behind the wall and run the screw back in. I had to have my Concertone Flat Panel TV replaced recently and FR sent a Jensen in it's place. The Jensen is somewhat thicker than the Concertone and the slide only misses the TV by about 1"! So I diffenentely keep a closer eye on it these days. Should the TV lean out a little it would crush the TV! Getting back to your question, if you can locate at least one stud for two of the screws to secure to and if you possibly have a access hole you could do the block thing to secure the other two screws. Good luck!

Re: New Wildcat now a few questions.
We have the flat screen lcd tv and the first year we had it we always took the it off the wall, but we got to the point we would forget so for the last 2 years it has hung on the wall with no issues. May be risky but we check the wall mount occasionally and it has been very tight. I did read a post here somewhere where someone had there tv hit the floor but that was due to an accident thye were in and fortunaley for them insurance covered the replacement. We have hit some really bad bumps, one would have to travel in Michigan to understand that, and have not had a problem with the tv falling off.
My next cat will not have the flat screen tv.

Re: New Wildcat now a few questions.
I was in Michigan with the Cat in late May. Understand your road situation. Good testimony for the TV wall mount. With the advent of digital tv, LCD and plasma, it may be difficult to get anything other than flat screen in the near future. That is why I bought LCD, but didn't think it would be so hard to control the panel movement.

Re: New Wildcat now a few questions.
Thanks everyone for your replies I will keep it on the wall and if anything is to happen I will report back so you all can make your own decision. One more question Does anyone know of the torque specs for the leaf springs if I was to move them down a hole?
