Lubricant for slideout and front landing gear
Anyone have a recommendation on a lubricant for the slideout mechanism AND the front landing gear?

Re: Lubricant for slideout and front landing gear
TC,
I use a dry lubricant, similar to a chain lubricant. You can spray it out of a can, but soon after contact, it dries so it doesn't attract dust/dirt.

I had a problem with the livingroom slide dying about halfway in. Took it back to the dealer under warrantee and they cleaned slide mechanism and treated it with an aerosol dry lubricant. I bought a can in their store and clean and treat the mechanism about twice a year. The problem hasn't repeated itself. Mark's on the right track.

Re: Lubricant for slideout and front landing gear
Mine was squeeking when I would run it in/out. After setting up at a CG, I got out the WD-40 and hosed everything down. It had 5 days to dry up.
No more noise.

Re: Lubricant for slideout and front landing gear
I put lube on mine and it still stopped before getting all the way in... Landing gear also.
But I do use the dry lube on it.

Re: Lubricant for slideout and front landing gear
Looks like I should get some spray-on dry lube. Thanks gang!!

I use Slide-out Dry Lube protectant, manufactured for Protect All Inc.
Works great.
