External Speaker too noisy inside 5th wheel any fixes?
My wife has been complaining about the external speakers being too loud inside the trailer. I looked inside the compartment and noticed that there isn't any sound dampening on the back side of the speakers and wondered if anyone on here has tried to build some sort of box or place sound proofing inside the cabinets to keep the inside quiet. Pictures would be appreciated if anyone has a fix for this.

It isn't an issue for us but if I was going to do something I would probably build a box out of 1" rigid insulation and put it together with aluminum foil tape.

BayouDude,
We have a 29rlbs, and don't have that problem. What model do you have? Maybe someone who has that model will be able to suggest something.
It would be great for the rest of us if you would go to your profile, and make a signature that would give us some info about your rig.

Not sure why my sig isn't displaying properly... I have a 2009 32QBBS. The speakers are using the cabinet as a speaker box and sound is resonating through the knife holder and garbage can area. Even when the sound outside is quite low maybe 4-5 on the concert tone volume the music is distinguishable inside the trailer and makes it tough for the little ones to nap.

We don't have little ones napping anymore, but we can hear our speakers just fine inside as well. The bass actuallly sounds better inside than outside. I haven't actually taken anything apart to see why it was that way. Let us know how you take care of it, if you do anything.
