First time winter in Texas
This would be a our first winter get away, we would be traveling sometime in Feb. I still work some, taxes, and grandchildren, so we can not get out sooner. Our trip would start in Iowa, down I35 to Fort Worth ( have some relatives to visit ) and we thought about the hill country around Fredericksburg. We like to hike, bike trails, photography, and visit historical places. Any suggestions on places and campgrounds would be great. As I stated, we our new to this life style, so far its great. We moved up from a hard side popup camper( 2000 Aliner LXE, the little A frame style ), boy the room in the 24RL , we do not know what to do with all the storage. Thanks Ken

We stayed at Treetops in Arlington, TX for six weeks while house hunting. It's a nice campground under trees. They have full hookups, restroom/shower houses, pool, and a pretty little park. They are near a large shopping mall, Target, and many restaurants. They don't have much in the way of activities for kids. It's near I-20 and Cooper.
Grand Prairie, TX has a nice community park on a lake. We like to go there for a few days at a time. Water and electric hookups only.
