GRAHAM CRACKER TOFFEE SQUARES
From the Magic Chef cookbook that came with trailers back in the late '70s or early 80's

12 graham cracker squares
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/8 teaspoon salt

Heat oven to 350 F.

Arrange graham cracker squares in single layer on bottom of greased 9 by 13 pan (non-stick cooking spray would work fine).

Melt butter and brown sugar on top of stove on in preheating oven (do not over cook).

Add chopped nuts and salt to melted butter and sugar, stir, pour over graham crackers.

Bake for 10 minutes. When cool, cut into squares. Makes 48 small squares.

If you love chocolate - try this to make them even better:

After removing the pan from the oven, while it's still hot, sprinkle about 1 - 2 cups of chocolate chips on top. When the chocolate chips are melted, spread evenly over the top - then, sprinkle an additional 1/2 cup of finely chopped nuts on top of the chocolate. When cool, cut into squares.
